Questions learners ask

Enrolling, progress, coursework, grades and certificates — answered.

Getting access

How do I enrol on a course?

It depends on the course. Free courses start the moment you press Enrol. Paid courses go through checkout. Some are covered by a subscription plan, and some are unlocked with a voucher code from an organisation. The course page always says which applies before you commit.

Can I try a course before paying?

Yes. Instructors can mark lectures as previews, and those play without enrolling — often without an account at all.

What is a voucher code?

A single-use code that unlocks one course. Organisations buy them in bulk for their teams. Redeem it from the Redeem page; each code works exactly once, so keep it to yourself until you use it.

I subscribed — do I get every course?

You get every course your plan covers. The Pricing page lists what each tier includes. Courses outside your plan are still bought individually.

While you learn

Does my progress save automatically?

Yes. Watched time is recorded as you go and the course resumes where you stopped, on any device you sign in from. You never have to mark your place manually.

Can I take notes?

Yes — the Notes tab under the player. Notes are attached to the lecture and stamped with roughly where in the video you took them, so the list reads as bookmarks. They are private to you: nobody else can see them, including the instructor.

Where are the handouts and slides?

Under the player, in the Overview tab. Instructors attach notes, infographics and downloads to individual lectures; infographics are shown inline rather than hidden behind a download.

Can I learn on my phone?

Yes. The whole platform is built for it, and your progress syncs across devices. There is a Day/Night switch in the header if you read at night.

How do I tidy up My Learning?

Archive a course from the menu on its tile. Archiving only moves it out of your main list — it never removes your access or your progress.

Quizzes, assignments and grades

How is my course grade worked out?

On a graded course, 80% comes from working through the video lectures and 20% from coursework — the assignments and quizzes. That split is why finishing the lectures matters even if you find the quizzes easy.

What happens after I submit an assignment?

It is accepted automatically a few minutes after you submit, and your course grade updates then. If your instructor marks it themselves first, their mark stands — automatic acceptance never overwrites real feedback.

Can I retake a quiz?

Yes, unless the instructor limited attempts on that quiz. Your attempts are listed on the coursework page so you can see how you did each time.

Where do I see everything I still owe?

The coursework page for the course — reachable from the Overview tab under the player. It lists every assignment and quiz, what you have done, and your grade so far.

Certificates

When do I get my certificate?

When you complete the course. It is issued automatically — you do not request it — and emailed to you as a PDF as well as being available to download from My Certificates.

How does anyone check it is real?

Every certificate carries a unique verification code. Anyone can enter it on our public verification page and see what was completed and when. No account is needed, which is the point: an employer can check it in seconds.

Does my grade appear on the certificate?

On a graded course, yes — the final grade is printed on it. Ungraded courses show completion only.

Can I share it on LinkedIn?

Yes. Share the verification link rather than the PDF, so whoever reads it can confirm it against the platform rather than taking an image on trust.

Account and billing

How do I cancel a subscription?

Membership and billing, from the menu under your avatar. You are asked to confirm, and then billing stops — but your subscription stays valid until the expiry date it already had. You do not lose access the moment you cancel.

How do I change my name before a certificate is issued?

Account settings. Your name is copied onto every certificate at the moment it is issued, so fix it before you finish a course rather than after.

I finished a course. Should I rate it?

Please do. Only learners who have actually worked through a course can rate it, which is what makes the number next to the price worth anything.
